Why .22 LR

.22 Long Rifle is one of the most widely available and least expensive centerfire-adjacent rounds to shoot, making the Switch Gun .22 LR a practical choice for buyers who want to practice often without the cost or recoil of .22WMR. It's a common secondary cylinder pairing for owners who carry .22WMR, and a common first choice for buyers newer to shooting who want a lighter-recoiling platform to build familiarity on.

Specifications

.22 LR vs .22WMR

.22 LR produces less recoil and costs less per round than .22WMR, but also carries less velocity and energy on target. Many owners choose .22 LR specifically for practice or as a lighter-recoiling carry option, while reserving .22WMR for situations where maximum stopping power matters more than comfort. Because cylinders are interchangeable, you're not locked into one caliber after purchase. SHOP THE .22WMR VERSION
